expansion, we are looking for a Senior Consultant – Insurance to lead strategic transformation projects and help our clients stay ahead in an evolving regulatory and technological landscape.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You will work on strategic transformation initiatives within the payments sector, helping financial institutions adapt to regulatory changes, operational improvements, and digital transformation.

• Deliver impactful transformation projects in the payments sector, helping clients optimize processes and adopt innovative payment solutions.
• Analyse industry trends & payment regulations (PSD2, SEPA, SWIFT, ISO 20022, Open Banking) and help clients navigate regulatory complexities.
• Develop and execute payments strategies covering instant payments, cross-border transactions, digital wallets, and embedded finance.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders (banks, PSPs, fintechs, regulators...) to improve payment processing, fraud prevention, and customer experience.
• Use data-driven insights to analyze fees, conversion rates, fraud patterns, and optimize payment flows.
• Apply a commercial mindset by identifying new business opportunities and long-term partnerships in the financial services sector.
• Communicate effectively—write, present, and defend reports, proposals, and audit findings using data visualization tools.
• Be part of a high-performing team, working closely with senior consultants and partners on strategic payment initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an ambitious, analytical, and adaptable payments consultant with a passion for financial services innovation.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:

• A Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, IT, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in payments or financial services—ideally within a bank, PSP, fintech, or consulting firm.
• A strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including:
• Payment Networks & Instruments: SEPA, SWIFT, instant payments, card processing, P2P, acquiring/issuing.
• Regulatory & Compliance: PSD2, ISO 20022, Open Banking, fraud & risk management.
• Emerging Technologies: AI, blockchain, cloud computing, API-driven payments, embedded finance.
• Experience working on payments-related transformation projects, such as process automation, digital banking integration, and compliance updates.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex challenges and propose data-driven solutions.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project/change management frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills—confident in presenting, writing reports, and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
• A commercial mindset—ability to identify business opportunities and build long-term relationships in the financial sector.
• Fluent in English (both written & spoken); Dutch is a plus or a willingness to learn.
