## CLIENT CHALLENGE

 

PSD2 required European banks to open account access (XS2A) to FinTech parties by September 2019.

 

A major Dutch bank needed to restructure its delivery programme, mobilise capacity and build a central platform across all European entities.

 

The challenge was not only regulatory compliance. Multiple entities had to move in the same direction, delivery capacity needed to scale quickly, and Business, IT and Architecture had to stay aligned under a fixed deadline.

## INSIGHTS

 

When a regulatory deadline is fixed, adding more activity does not automatically create more progress.

 

The programme needed clearer ownership, stronger communication and tighter governance across entities.

 

Creating a central delivery structure, improving escalation and aligning capacity with actual demand was what turned a complex multi-country implementation into controlled execution

## WHAT WE DID

 

We restructured the programme and improved communication and governance across the different entities.

 

We mobilised capacity in line with delivery demand and introduced formal change controls, central coordination and escalation.

 

The programme was managed through an agile/hybrid delivery model, including daily stand-ups, issue tracking and end-to-end management of delivery gaps.

 

The result was a controlled Go-Live across all European entities, delivered on time.

The programme also increased IT delivery capacity across the organisation and established Business & IT Architecture for both short- and long-term delivery assurance.
